Made a revolution in ordering debit & credit cards for the largest bank in Russia, launched for the first time worldwide
It was an ambitious project launched in 2017. At that time, no bank app worldwide allowed users to order cards online. A team of seven people changed the game — I was the designer on that team. After the successful launch, I received an award from the Chairman of Sber and was promoted to Lead Designer of the Card Solutions Department. The product saved the company millions of dollars and attracted a new audience to the app
The task was to enable users to instantly issue a digital card with all the capabilities of a standard debit plastic card, while preserving trust and a sense of reliability.
Before I joined the project, four different teams within the company had already attempted to launch this process — all attempts failed. Knowing this, we were determined to deliver the product at all costs.

The seven-person team worked with exceptional alignment, allowing us to launch ahead of schedule
It was an exciting time. A large screen next to our team displayed real-time metrics, and we watched card issuance grow exponentially. Within the first 24 hours, 10,000 new cards were issued — a huge success.
I monitored metrics and user feedback, and based on these insights, we continued improving the product, introducing features such as in-app CVV and card number display, card blocking, and card reordering.
Soon after, I was awarded for the fastest launch and promoted to Lead Designer of the Card Solutions Department.
I shared my expertise in online card ordering with the design team, and within the next six months all debit and credit cards became available for instant online ordering

I have had the pleasure of knowing Anna since 2017 when we both joined the largest modern bank in Russia — Sberbank. Anna started her career at Sberbank as a Product Designer and quickly rose to become a Lead Product Designer within a year.
